After four fantastic EPs which whet our appetities, the Hellcats released their nine song full length album A Coffin full of B-Sides. Ever ones to keep their fans on the edge of their seats, they spread this out over an eight week period, by releasing a new track every Friday. Finally able to listen to the album in all it’s glory from start to finish, The Original Colette Carr and Free T-Shirt Stan sat down to review A Coffin full of B-Sides.
Some background on Hellcats
Hellcats are a two piece, stripped down, bare knuckle rock n roll band from Johannesburg, who formed in August 2014. Two of the coolest and craziest guys we know – they are Alessandro Benigno on drums/vocals, and Warwick Rautenbach on guitar. Hellcats’ sound is unashamedly raw and their live performance is full throttle energy. They have torn through the local underground scene having held their own, sharing the stage with giants like Fokofpolisiekar and Springbok Nude Girls, to name a few.
