A chilled Sunday it was with a Park Acoustics that wasn’t packed to the hilt…which was nice for a patron (maybe so much an organiser) 😉 Space to stretch ones legs, and also this meant the ladies toilet queues weren’t too long.
The Pringles Main Stage was on fire, with Stone Jets starting off the events (who we were getting to see for the first time) and how they impressed us with their fun, groovy set.
Next up our good pals The Barbosa Experience who will be playing at our Birthday Event on 16 June and it was great to get our practice dance moves in so that we are spot on at that event. 😉 It was early in the day for dancing (as one of the fabulous photographers at this gig mentioned) but dammit the experience that is Barbosa is that good that it does get the asses shaking before noon
Boxer were on next – and we were pleased to see that despite their name their set did consist of making great music and not beating anyone up.
Crowd favourites Rubber Duc took the stage and had the PA throng singing along with them – also throwing in a newbie track too. Ending off the day was the guitar maestro Dan Patlansky – this show forming part of his ‘Perfection Kills’ album launch.
All this presented as always by our friend King Nqoba, who will be MC’ing our event next month too by the way – aren’t we lucky!
All in all a fun day of friends and music in the always welcoming Capital City.
