Keeping momentum building from his acclaimed 2018 album Critical As Water, Jeremy Loops shares the exceptional single ‘My People’, a collaborative track with Austrian singer-songwriter James Hersey, out now via Loops Music and Glassnote Records. Hersey will also support Loops on his European Levitation Tour, concluding at the iconic Roundhouse in London.
Co-written by Loops and Hersey, ‘My People’ is a gloriously upbeat indie-pop track which compliments both artist’s unique vocals as they flow back and forth, then congregate on the infectious chorus over the guitar-led production. The track’s already a breakout on streaming platforms, getting listed on more than 30 New Music Spotify Friday Playlists around the world, as well as equivalent Best of the Week playlisting support on Apple Music.

What they say about My People
Speaking on ‘My People’, Jeremy Loops says “James and I had a jam session at my house in Cape Town the day after we first met. It was effortless and so much fun, we kept saying we need to connect on a track together. It took two years to come to fruition, but I couldn’t be prouder of ‘My People’, and I’m equally amped to have James supporting us on the road this year.”
On working with Loops, James Hersey explains “Jeremy and I both lead lives that require us to spend a lot of time away from home. “My People” is a homage not to the places we come from, but to the people there that keep us coming back”
