Durban based powerhouse singer-songwriter Carmen Rodrigues has released Let It All Go, her debut full length album recorded and produced by Marc Skarda from October Sun Productions. A full-time musician with a popcorn personality that bursts from her music and serves to drive her as an entertainer. The tracks reflect an energetic blend of rock, indie and pop styles, Carmen boldly states that her music comes from a place of hope and that her lyrics are projected as being a source of inspiration and comfort to her fans.
“I am one of the luckiest people on the planet right now! My first ever debut album is out! ‘Let it all go’ is not only the name of the album but it’s been the process of my personal firework display of emotions that were holding me back from life! Now I believe is the time to help others let it all go through my music. I can’t wait to help!” – Carmen Rodrigues
With Carmen on vocals, the band consists of Carl Bense on drums, Chris Krause on guitar and Craig on bass manages to perfectly mirror her energy and elevates their combined entertainment value to one of unbridled excitement. Any performance leaves the audience demanding more of their eclectic style and tongue ‘n cheek attitude. Carmen’s career has taken her from a performance in New York to the band recently winning the Battle of The Jam, beating 15 other bands in KZN.
